Procedures:

Cleaning and leveling
purpose:

1.to facilitate easy draining of water.
2.to eliminate aquatic weeds.

Cultivation of pond soil.

Draining and drying.

Apply organic fertilizer at the rate of 500 kg/ha depending upon the fertility of the soil.

Let in water at the rate of 10 cm barely covering (3-5 days) the pond surface.

Increase water depth to 20 cm.

Apply inorganic fertilizer at the rate of 10 kg.

3-5 days after observing of their signs of growing natural fish food.

Depth of water during culturing period should be 75 cm to 1m.






“Our instructor promised us to have a field trip but as we reached second semester, there was no trip happened. Instead he gave us a project which is to pass a fish. After that, he let us clean the area wherein we will going to make a fish pond. I enjoyed the company of my classmates though we got tired, but it was a good experience”.
